What ages do you work with?

At this time, Dr. Ostoja is accepting adult clients only.

In the treatment of obsessive-compulsive-disorder (OCD), Dr. Ostoja is open to collaborating with a regular primary therapist for a minor (10 years or older), if that therapist does not offer specialty treatment in OCD. In those circumstances, Dr. Ostoja will meet with the client and family for 10-20 sessions to provide psycho-education and exposure-response-prevention (ERP) for the client.  Many children and teens require a longer course of therapy, especially if the client is reluctant to engage in ERP, or if there are co-existing conditions such as ADHD, mood disorders, trauma, stress, or autism. Nevertheless, it can be very valuable for the client and the family to understand the basics of evidence-based therapy for OCD specifically. OCD treatment is quite distinct from many traditional approaches to the treatment of anxiety.
